Report of the Academic Session 2018-2019

April- June

New academics session of St. Thomas High school began on 1St April 2018. Students were welcomed with flowers and sweets. After short session summer holidays were declared from 28th of April. Refresh and update seminar was organized for the staff to equip them with latest teaching trends and techniques in the month of June.

July

Environment is inseparable part of our life; to instill love for nature students of STD VII organized an awareness rally and planted plants in Udaipura Kids Park. Democracy is heart of our administration system; to give better participation in school administration we held Students cabinet elections. Investiture ceremony was held to bestow responsibility on the students for their duties. Unit tests were held at the end of the month.

August

Safety first – many lose precious life in road accident every year. Students and staff pasted Reflectors on the tractor-Trolleys to prevent road accidents. Independence Day of our Nation was celebrated with full vigor and enthusiasm on 15th August. PTM was held on second Saturday of the month to update parents with the progress of their wards. Festival of Raksha Bandhan was celebrated to mark the beautiful symbol of love between brothers and sisters. Unit tests were held at the end of the month.

September

Results of unit test were declared on second Saturday of the month. Quarterly examination was held to evaluate the progress of scholars. Students organized Teacher’s day to express their gratitude and respect for their teachers.

October

Staff took initiative to clean the banks of River Narmada also called life line of Madhya Pradesh on the Birth day of Father of our Nation Mahatam Gandhi. Results of quarterly examination were declared. A class on health and hygiene was organized for the students. Dr. Rajesh and Dr. Sanju Lata Chouksey guided the students in this class.

November

Chess tournament was conducted in memory of late Fr. Jinson Karrippai. Many local schools participated in it. Winners were awarded with certificates and trophies. Inter-school football tournament was organized in memory of Late. Fr. Thomas Attumal. St. Francis Sr. Sec. School, Raisen clenched the title of champions once again. This tournament is organized for all missionary education institutions of risen Dt. We celebrated the festival of lights ‘Dipawali’ in traditional way. Entire building was illuminated with clay lamps. Students were recommended not to use the crackers with high volume. Students visited St. Francis Orphanage Sevadham, Dayasagr shrine, at Sagar. They contributed daily needs item to the Orphanage. Staff presented cultural program on the occasion of Baal Divas.

December

School organized an election awareness rally for state assembly election in Udaipura town. Half yearly examination was conducted to evaluate growth of students. We shared joy of Christmas with parents and students. Beautiful crib was prepared by school staff and local Christian faithful. Hundreds flocked to the school campus on Christmas evening to see crib and beautiful illumination of the school. Cultural programs were organized for the visitors. Everybody appreciated the way we included all in our celebrations.

January

Scien-Art, a science and art exhibition was organized in the school campus. Students prepared many working models of science. Young scientists brought out many innovative techniques and machines for future India. Beautiful works or art attracted the visitors. It was very much appreciated by all parents and visitors. India Gate, Sanchi Stupa, INS Arihant the submarine were some of the centers of attraction for all. Students presented very meaningful dance in Tal Katora stadium on the occasion of Republic Day.

February

The nation was shocked by the attack at Pulwama where 40 CRPF soldiers died. Staff and students organized candle March to pay our homage to the departed soldiers, many local people joined in candle march. Students visited Historic places at Sanchi and Bhopal. Senior most students of the school were bid farewell by STD IX students and the school staff. They were given a school memento and wished them a bright future.

March

Annual examination was organized in the first two weeks of this month. Results were declared on 30th March. Principal thanked all staff, parents and students for their co-operation and guidance for successful conclusion of Academic session 2018-2019.
